  Personal profile
Chao Liang, female, graduated from School of Biological Sciences at University of Hong Kong in 2014 with a Ph.D. degree, continued to conduct research as a post-doc in College of Life Sciences and Oceanography at Shenzhen University from 2015 to 2018, and started her work as a faculty in Shenzhen University since 2019. Dr. Liang’s research has been mainly focusing on the study of miRNAs and endogenous siRNAs in plants. Examples of her research interests include: mechanism of miRNA and siRNA biogenesis, molecular mechanisms of plant miRNA action and the cell-to-cell movement of miRNAs, et., al. Dr. Liang is awarded with Shenzhen Overseas High-Caliber Personnel Level C in 2018, and has gotten funding support from the National Natural Science Foundation Young Scholar Program. She won the second prize of the Natural Science Award of the Excellent Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (2022) and the second prize of the Natural Science Award of Guangdong Science and Technology Award (2022). In recent years, Dr. Liang has published several first-authored SCI research articles with high impact factors.
